The Academy

The images in this series were taken during the destruction of San Francisco's Academy of Science in Golden Gate Park. As the museum was dismantled and nature allowed to reclaim the halls and dioramas, a new understanding of the history the museum portrays began to be revealed, its exposed state serving to uncover the artifice and subjectivity inherent in the museum's creation.
