The civil war in Uganda effectively ended a decade ago however the long term effects are just beginning to be understood. The Little Sister's of Mary Immaculate have dedicated their personal and religious lives to helping eradicate those negative effects. They focus their work on post-civil war reintegration and reconciliation. This work includes being radio-hosts for a peace show on local radio, mitigating land disputes, holding cleansing ceremonies and more. Whatever their work may be they focus on returning the lives of their fellow Acholi back to normal and they rely on each other to help them through it. The following are still photographs taking during the production of a video project in conjunction with the Chantal Paydar Foundation attempting a more complete look at the lives of The Little Sisters of Mary Immaculate.
